Carlos Roberto Reyes Sevilla was born and raised in Honduras. Destiny brought him to the States in 1997. Back in his native Honduras, Carlos was exposed in other dance forms like folkloric dances and Punta (a traditional dance of Honduras with lots of hips movements)... it could be said that he is NC "Punta King".

Carlos was mainly a "street salsa dancer" until he saw some "trained salsa dancers", got hooked, and decided to get some training himself. He became part of Mambo Dinamico in the summer of 2004, under the instruction and supervision of Betto Herrera and Joy Manning, and is glad to be a part of the team. He believes that this company has given North Carolina the 'magic touch' needed for people to become more interested and involved with salsa/mambo dance. Carlos also feels glad to be one of the dancers produced by Mambo Dinamico, since it has the reputation of producing the best salsa/mambo dancers in North Carolina.

Carlos works hard during each practice to become the best dancer he can be. He is a very charismatic person, which shows each time he social dances or performs. One can always expect a very fun personality and honest approach from him.

For Carlos being part of the team is like a "Blessing from God", because of the friendships and bonds that unite the members like a family. In Mambo Dinamico, each member has high level of trust for both the team and each other; therein lies the success of the company.

He has performed in some local events, as well as at the Charlotte Salsa Congress where he debuted with "Mambo Sabroso" (Mambo Dinamico's student team) in September 2004. He is looking forward to performing in front of new audiences and stages around the US.

In the future, Carlos sees himself becoming more involved with the company, and helping it continues to grow. He believes that, being the pioneer dance company in the Carolinas, Mambo Dinamico will bring much satisfaction in the future for their students and audiences.
